I was born in the province of Esmeraldas, Ecuador, and after High School I attended Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional Don Bosco in Esmeraldas, and graduated as a Computer Service Technician.

I have 3 brothers. My family is the anchor of my life, especially my parents. They have taught me that if you want to achieve a goal, you have to fight for it. Another very important pillar in my life are my grandparents. Only my two grandmothers are alive, and I love them very much. My two grandfathers are my angels in heaven, guiding me.

I am currently a Computer Science Engineer Major at the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana in Quito. This hasn’t been easy for us because this is a private college, and currently my parents’ jobs are not generating enough to pay the tuition of this private university. I applied to public universities as well but even though I graduated with a score of 9.3/10, I wasn’t accepted at any public university, and therefore my parents are making the sacrifice to pay for a private college, so that I may become a professional.

La Fraternidad Santa María del Paraíso is the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life. Since I arrived at La Fraternidad, I have been very happy. Being away from my family has been very hard but here at La Fraternidad I feel at home.  Here I have learned to have better relationships with others, to support one another, to be good citizens and above all, practice solidarity and unity among us and with the community around us.

I truly think that nothing in life is impossible if you work hard and persevere. The more you cling to what you want, the more possibilities of achieving it there are.

I came to La Fraternidad, determined to reach my goals and become a good professional to be able to help others like I’m being helped now.
